Mental Health Counselor (F/T)

Responsibilities:

• Establish open lines of communication for individuals with mental or emotional issues
• Provide outpatient therapy
• Implement and review treatment plans
• Collaborate with additional treatment providers 
• Ensure all documentation is completed in a timely manner

Qualifications Requirements:

• Minimum of a Master's degree and an Idaho clinical license as a Social Worker, Marriage and Family Therapist, or Professional Counselor. 
• Previous experience in mental health counseling or other related fields
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills
• Ability to build rapport with clients
• Computer and EMR Proficient

Centerpoint Counseling Services is located in beautiful Rexburg, Idaho, close to the borders of Wyoming and Montana, and near Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks. Rexburg is also home to BYU-Idaho Campus. 

We are looking for passionate and dedicated INTERN Masters Level Students to work in our counseling program.  This position provides important quality mental-health counseling-services at lower-costs to adults, children, and families in our community. 

Work hours can be flexible and correlate to a student's scheduling needs. Onsite clinical supervision and personalized oversight is provided as a benefit of this internship. 

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide Treatment Services - Individual, family, and group psychotherapy consistent with Centerpoint Services treatment protocols. 
• Provide Case Management Services - Includes consultation with clients and their families,  clinic staff, community agencies--schools, courts and other social service agencies
• Communication (verbal and written) with clients, clinic staff, welfare agencies schools, courts and other social service agencies
• Provide diagnostic and evaluation services including the use of telehealth technology.
• Enter clinical documentation in our client's electronic medical records
• 
  

Required Qualifications

• Students currently enrolled in an accredited College or University seeking a Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Social Work, Marriage and Family Therapy, Clinical Counseling, Psychology or similar fields. 
• Working towards licensure in a counseling profession (LMSW/LCSW, LAMFT/LMFT, LPC/LCPS) in the state of Idaho. 
• Three (3) professional letters of reference
• Drug screen and enhanced criminal background check
