Chase is a graduate student studying Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Wake Forest University. She is fiercely curious and highly motivated to learn. With bachelors degrees in psychology, philosophy, and kinesiology. She is a member of the Chi Sigma Iota Honor Society at Wake Forest University.
Chase has spent most of her adult life in the backcountry. Working predominantly in Mongolia for companies such as National Geographic and Mountain Travel Sobek. She has worked as a guide leading horse packing, climbing, skiing, and whitewater expeditions for guests from all over the world. When the pandemic limited travel, she utilized her training as an Emergency Medical Technician and experience with backcountry evacuations to work on the ambulance serving Laramie County, Wyoming. During this time Chase learned that she was far more interested in being involved with what happened after an injury. This caused her to seek out experience working in physical therapy settings. These experiences have taught her how deeply mental and physical health are intertwined, causing her to seek out further education in mental health and gain an understanding of how to better support her community.
In her free time Chase loves to ski in Grand Teton National Park, kayak on the Snake River, and trail ride with her beloved horses Sideways Sally and Reckless.
