Marci graduated from the University of Oklahoma with a Master of Social Work degree. She previously worked for 18 years in early intervention, where she exclusively worked with prenatal mothers and families with children aged six and under. She has specific training and considerable work experience working with parents struggling with parenting because life is hard, and all of life's struggles make parenting hard.
Marci welcomes clients from all backgrounds and phases of life but is passionate about working with people who have experienced trauma, struggled with pre- or postnatal depression and anxiety, have been involved with the child welfare system, or have experienced domestic violence in the past or present. Marci also has experience working with young adults in a counseling setting.
Marci takes a strength-based, whole-person approach to counseling and utilizes Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavioral Therapy, and Solution-Focused Brief Therapy as her foundational approaches.
Marci was born and raised in Rexburg. When not working, she enjoys spending time outdoors, going to the mountains, reading, and getting competitive with her family while playing board games.
