Kevin received his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from the University of
Kentucky in 1999. He also earned a PhD in Family Social Science with an emphasis in Family
Communication in 2007 from the University of Minnesota. He has worked with individuals and
couples on a variety of issues over the years including depression, anxiety, pornography
compulsions, and issues related to parenting and marital strain.
For the last 8-10 years his clinical focus has been on treating issues related to pornography
compulsions and addiction. He believes the strongest motivator for change is the connection
with others in meaningful relationships. As a marriage and family therapist, he views
problems from a systemic lens which allows him to observe interactions within a family or
relationship context. He has worked in both an agency settings and in private practice. He
currently teaches full-time at Brigham Young University-Idaho.
